Herpes Expert Witness

Herpes is a viral disease; it can occur because of two viruses, Herpes Simplex 1 and Simplex 2. Herpes can be either oral herpes/cold sores or genital herpes. Herpes can only transfer from person to person when it is “active” in the infected patient. The active period means the sores are present; after that, there is a period of remission in which no sores are visible (the person still “has” herpes, but cannot transmit it to others).
